the thing is, the valar have made mistakes, yes, but not moreso than most characters in the silm. it’s just that, because of them being so insanely powerful compared to everyone else, their mistakes (well-intentioned, most of the time) have much bigger consequences. they’re a lot like a bunch of sweet, docile bulls in an extremely busy, chock-full china shop
